Email Subscription Terms

1. What You Are Signing Up For

By entering your email address and clicking "Sign Up" on the Henry Opt website, you are giving your explicit consent to receive the following types of email communication from us:

• Product updates – notifications when new tools launch or existing tools are updated (e.g. Self-Assessment Tracker, Asset Optimiser)
• UK tax change alerts – summaries of Budget announcements, threshold changes, or regulatory updates that may affect high earners
• Tips and insights – occasional guidance on tax-efficient strategies relevant to the tools we offer
• Relevant services – emails containing information regarding services relevant to high earning individuals

We will not send you emails about any other topic, and we will never share your email address with any third party for their own marketing.

2. Consent and PECR Compliance

This consent is given freely, specifically, and with full knowledge of how your email address will be used, as required by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and UK GDPR.

We record and store the following information as evidence of your consent:

• The email address you provided
• The date and time of signup
• The page URL from which you submitted the form
• The version of the consent wording displayed at the time

3. Frequency

We aim to email you no more than weekly. We will not send daily or high-frequency emails.

4. How to Unsubscribe

You can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time by:

• Clicking the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any email we send you
• Using our unsubscribe page
• Emailing us directly at alecldarlow@gmail.com and asking to be removed

We will process your unsubscribe request promptly and within 7 days at most. Once unsubscribed, your email address will be moved to a suppression list to ensure we do not contact you again. It will be deleted from our active mailing list.

5. Email Identification

Every email we send will clearly:

• Identify Henry Opt as the sender
• Include our registered business address or a valid postal address
• Include a working, clearly labelled unsubscribe mechanism

This is required under Regulation 7 of PECR.

6. Data Processing

Your email address is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Key points:

• Lawful basis: Consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR)
• Data processor: Buttondown, with whom we have a Data Processing Agreement
• Retention: Until you unsubscribe, after which it is deleted within 30 days (except on the suppression list)
• International transfers: Buttondown is a US-based company and may store subscriber data on servers in the US. They prioritise privacy and do not sell data.
